Privacy Policy — Urban Funky

Urban Funky is an independent Indian streetwear brand. We take your privacy seriously — we only collect what we need to get your order to you, and we don't play games with your data.

What We Collect

When you place an order on our site, we collect the following information:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Delivery address (street address, city, state, pincode)
Items ordered and quantities
If you sign in with Google: your Google account id, and the name and email Google shares with us

We also record the affiliate or referral code (if any) attached to the URL you visited — this is passed as a URL parameter, not stored in a cookie.

Why We Collect It

Your information is used solely to:

Process and fulfil your order
Coordinate delivery with our courier partner
Contact you about your order (e.g. dispatch updates, queries)

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data.

Payment & Financial Data

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We never see, handle, or store your card number, UPI ID, bank account details, or any other financial credentials. That data goes directly to Razorpay and is governed by their privacy policy.

What we do store in our own database: your order amount, order ID, and the Razorpay order and payment reference numbers for reconciliation purposes.

Who We Share Your Data With

We only share your information with parties strictly necessary to fulfil your order:

Razorpay — our payment processor, to handle the transaction securely.
Our courier partners — your name and delivery address are shared with the courier service responsible for shipping your order.
Google Sign-In — if you choose Continue with Google, Google authenticates you and we receive your name, email address, and Google account id so we can create or link your Urban Funky account. See Google’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics — when configured, Google receives page and event data (including purchases) so we can understand traffic and conversions. See Google’s privacy policy.
Meta Pixel — when configured, Meta receives page and event data (including purchases) so we can measure ads and traffic from Meta platforms. See Meta’s privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Analytics and advertising partners receive the event data described above when those tools are enabled.

Cookies

We use a session cookie so your cart, login, and checkout can work. Affiliate referrals still use a URL parameter (e.g. ?ref=name).

When Google Analytics (GA4) and/or the Meta Pixel are configured on this site, those services also set their own cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits, ad clicks, and purchases. They load automatically on the storefront in that case. You can block third-party cookies in your browser if you prefer not to be measured that way.

Data Retention

Order records are retained for accounting and customer-support purposes in line with applicable Indian tax and business regulations. If you would like your personal data removed (subject to legal retention requirements), contact us at the email below.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
